Embrace the Glow: Why Prenatal Yoga Is the Ultimate Self-Care for Expecting Mamas
You’re growing a whole human, and that is no small thing. At Live Oak Yoga in New Orleans, we believe you deserve all the love, support, and deep breaths you can get. That’s where prenatal yoga comes in — your feel-good ritual, designed for this sacred season.
No yoga experience? No problem.
Whether you're new to the mat or a flow queen, this class meets you where you are. Taught by experts who care, our prenatal classes are led by prenatal-specific trained instructors. For something more personalized, we offer private prenatal yoga sessions for one-on-one support tailored to your needs, schedule, and stage of pregnancy.
Why prenatal yoga?
To recalibrate your body, spirit, and mind. To breathe, move, and connect to your baby, body, and growing community. You’ll stretch what’s tight, strengthen what needs love, and breathe to calm your nervous system.
Prenatal yoga isn't just calming — it's clinically supported. Studies show that consistent prenatal yoga can:
Reduce stress and cortisol levels
Improve sleep quality
Decrease pregnancy-related pain and nausea
Enhance overall emotional well-being
Potentially shorten labor and reduce the need for interventions
What to Expect in Class:
Guided movement and stretching tailored for pregnancy
Breathwork to soothe your mind and support labor
Poses to ease common aches (hello, lower back!)
Connection and community with other moms-to-be
Whether you're feeling radiant, tired, confident, or curious, our doors are open to support you through this transform
